A ndy Fang is an American technology entrepreneur who co-founded the food delivery giant DoorDash. He, along with his Stanford University classmates Tony Xu, Stanley Tang, and Evan Moore, started the company in 2013. The project began as a small-scale delivery service for local restaurants in Palo Alto, originally called Palo Alto Delivery.
As the company's Head of Consumer Engineering and Chief Technical Officer, Fang has been responsible for building and scaling the complex technology platform that powers DoorDash's logistics network. The app connects consumers with local restaurants and a fleet of independent delivery drivers, known as "Dashers." The company experienced explosive growth, expanding rapidly across the United States and into international markets, becoming the leader in the highly competitive food delivery space. DoorDash went public in a massive IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2020, making Fang and his co-founders billionaires.
