B ruce Toll is an American real estate developer who co-founded Toll Brothers, one of the nation's largest and best-known builders of luxury homes. In 1967, he and his brother, Robert Toll, started the company, initially focusing on building colonial-style homes in suburban Philadelphia. They took the company public in 1986 and grew it into a dominant force in the high-end housing market across the United States.
Toll Brothers became famous for its semi-customizable homes, allowing affluent buyers to choose from a wide range of options and upgrades. Bruce served as the company's president and COO, complementing his brother's role as chairman and CEO. He retired from his executive role at the company but remains a major shareholder. He has since focused on his own diversified investments through his family office, and he is a prominent horse breeder and owner, with his horses competing in major races like the Kentucky Derby.
