C aroline Hagen Kjos is a Norwegian-Swiss heiress and the chairwoman of the board of Canica, the family's private investment company. She is the daughter of Stein Erik Hagen, one of Norway's most prominent businessmen, who made his fortune by founding the discount supermarket chain Rimi, which he later sold.
In 2014, her father transferred the vast majority of his ownership in Canica to Caroline, making her one of the wealthiest women in Norway. Canica is a major industrial holding company with a diversified portfolio that includes a significant stake in Orkla, a leading Nordic supplier of branded consumer goods, as well as interests in real estate and other businesses. Although she resides in Switzerland, Caroline plays an active role as chairwoman, overseeing the family's vast assets and continuing the legacy of industrial ownership built by her father.
