D avid Baszucki is an American technology entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Roblox Corporation, the company behind the immensely popular online gaming platform, Roblox. An engineer by training, Baszucki's background was in educational software. In 1989, he founded a company that developed interactive physics simulation software for students. This experience with user-generated content and virtual worlds would become the foundation for his next, far more ambitious venture.

In 2004, he co-founded Roblox with the late Erik Cassel, creating a platform that allows users to not only play a vast array of games but also to create and monetize their own games and virtual experiences.
