E dythe Broad is an American billionaire philanthropist and art collector. She is the widow of the legendary self-made entrepreneur, Eli Broad, who built two Fortune 500 companies in two different industries: homebuilding (Kaufman and Broad, now KB Home) and insurance (SunAmerica, which he sold to AIG). Together, they amassed a multi-billion dollar fortune.

For decades, Edythe and Eli Broad were one of America's most prominent philanthropic couples, known for their transformative impact on Los Angeles.
