E van Wallace is an American technology entrepreneur and the co-founder of Figma, a collaborative web-based design tool that has become an essential platform for designers and product teams around the world. A computer science prodigy, Wallace met his co-founder, Dylan Field, while they were both students at Brown University. He joined Field as a Thiel Fellow, a program that encourages young entrepreneurs to drop out of college to start a company.

Wallace was the technical mastermind behind Figma, writing much of the early code and building the groundbreaking architecture for a design tool that could operate entirely in the cloud. This allowed for real-time collaboration, a feature that revolutionized the design workflow and disrupted the market dominated by Adobe's desktop-based software. As the company's Chief Technology Officer, he led its engineering efforts as it grew into one of the most valuable private software companies in Silicon Valley. In 2022, Adobe announced a massive $20 billion deal to acquire Figma, though the deal was later terminated due to regulatory pressure.
