E yal Ofer is an Israeli billionaire with a vast global empire in shipping and real estate. He is one of two sons of the late Sammy Ofer, who was once Israel's richest person and built a legendary shipping and business conglomerate. After their father's death in 2011, Eyal and his brother, Idan, inherited his business empire and divided the assets between them.

Eyal's portion of the inheritance included a massive international real estate portfolio and the cruise line business. As the chairman of Ofer Global, his private holding company, he has continued to expand these interests.
