G ail Miller is an American self-made billionaire businesswoman and philanthropist who, with her late husband, Larry H. Miller, built a massive and diversified business empire. They started with a single Toyota dealership in Utah in 1979 and grew it into the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, one of the largest privately owned companies in the United States. The core of their business was a massive network of automotive dealerships.

After her husband's death in 2009, Gail took over as the chairwoman of the group and has continued to lead and grow the family's business. For many years, the family was best known as the longtime owners of the National Basketball Association's Utah Jazz, a team her husband acquired in the 1980s and kept in Utah. In 2020, she sold a majority stake in the Jazz to technology entrepreneur Ryan Smith, a deal that crystalized a significant portion of her family's wealth.
