G iovanni Ferrero is an Italian billionaire and the executive chairman of the Ferrero Group, the global confectionery giant. He is the son of Michele Ferrero, the visionary who transformed his father's small pastry shop into a global powerhouse and invented many of its iconic products. Giovanni represents the third generation of the founding family.

For many years, Giovanni served as co-CEO alongside his older brother, Pietro. After Pietro's sudden death in 2011, Giovanni became the sole CEO. The Ferrero Group is famous for its world-renowned brands, including Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Tic Tac, and Kinder. Under Giovanni's leadership, the company, which had traditionally grown organically, has embarked on a major new strategy of acquisitions, buying up the U.S. confectionery business of Nestlé and the maker of Keebler cookies. He is one of the world's richest people and the sole owner of the massive and privately held company. He is also a published novelist.
