G iuseppe De'Longhi is an Italian billionaire and the chairman of De'Longhi S.p.A., the company famous for its home appliances, particularly its espresso machines and portable air conditioners. The company was founded by his family as a small workshop for industrial parts. Giuseppe took over the business and transformed it from an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) supplier into a world-renowned consumer brand.
He has been the driving force behind the company's growth, steering its focus towards branded consumer products and expanding its portfolio through strategic acquisitions, most notably the purchase of the British appliance brand Kenwood. He took the company public on the Milan Stock Exchange but his family retains a controlling stake. His son, Fabio, now serves as the CEO, but Giuseppe remains the chairman and the patriarch of the successful family enterprise he built into a global leader in small domestic appliances.
