G u Yuhua is the founder of Kuka Home (Jason Furniture), one of China's largest and most successful furniture manufacturers. He began his career as a humble carpenter, opening a small sofa workshop in Nantong, Jiangsu province, in 1982. Through a focus on craftsmanship and brand building, he grew the business into a global enterprise known for its high-quality upholstered furniture, including sofas, beds, and chairs.

Under Gu's leadership, Kuka Home expanded its retail presence to thousands of stores across China and established a strong export business to markets in North America and Europe. The company went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2016. Gu has since handed over the chairmanship to his son, Gu Jiangsheng, but remains the controlling shareholder and a respected figure in the Chinese furniture industry, symbolizing the rise of homegrown Chinese consumer brands.
