H . Ross Perot Jr. is an American billionaire real estate developer and an heir to the fortune of his famous father, the legendary entrepreneur and two-time presidential candidate, H. Ross Perot. While his father made a colossal fortune by founding the IT services companies Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Perot Systems, Ross Jr. has built his own highly successful career, primarily in real estate.
He is the chairman of The Perot Companies and the Hillwood Development Company, a major real estate firm that has developed a number of massive, master-planned industrial and residential communities. His most famous project is AllianceTexas, a huge inland port and mixed-use development in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that includes an airport, a major rail and logistics hub, and corporate campuses. In addition to his real estate empire, he is famous for being the first person to circumnavigate the globe in a helicopter.
