P ansy Ho Chiu-king is a Hong Kong-Macau businesswoman and one of the most prominent figures in Asia's gaming and hospitality industries. She is the daughter of the late Macau casino magnate Stanley Ho, the founder of SJM Holdings. Despite being born into immense wealth, Pansy Ho was determined to build her own career. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in marketing and business.
She founded her own public relations and marketing firm before taking a more active role in her father's business empire. Her defining business achievement was her strategic joint venture with MGM Resorts International. In the early 2000s, as Macau opened its casino market to foreign competition, Ho partnered with MGM to win a coveted gaming license. She became the managing director of MGM Grand Macau, a venture that proved immensely successful and established her as a powerful casino operator in her own right. Following her father's death, she became a major shareholder and co-chairperson of SJM Holdings, and she continues to be a dominant force in Macau's economy. She also holds extensive interests in property and transportation in Hong Kong and Macau.
