S oegiarto Adikoesoemo is a self-made Indonesian billionaire and the founder of the chemical and energy logistics giant, AKR Corporindo. He began his entrepreneurial journey in the 1960s, starting a small chemical trading business in Surabaya, Indonesia. Through decades of hard work and strategic expansion, he built this modest firm into one of the country's largest private distributors of basic chemicals and petroleum. The company, which he took public in 1994, has also developed a significant business in logistics and the development of large-scale industrial and port estates.

While AKR Corporindo is the foundation of his fortune, a significant portion of his family's wealth now comes from their majority stake in the paint manufacturer, PT Avia Avian.
