T heodore "Teddy" Rachmat is a self-made Indonesian billionaire and a highly respected figure in the country's business community. He is the nephew of William Soeryadjaya, the founder of the Astra International conglomerate. Teddy joined his uncle's company and rose to become its CEO, a role he held for many years, helping to build Astra into one of Indonesia's largest and most successful companies. After leaving Astra, he founded his own company, the Triputra Group, in 1998.
