T sai Cheng-ta is a Taiwanese billionaire and a key member of the powerful Tsai family, which controls the Cathay Financial Holdings and Fubon Financial Holdings conglomerates. He is the second son of the late Tsai Wan-lin, who was the patriarch that built the family's initial insurance and real estate empire. After his father's death, the family's assets were divided among his sons.
