V enu Srinivasan is a prominent Indian industrialist and the chairman emeritus of TVS Motor Company, one of India's largest manufacturers of two-wheeled vehicles. He is the grandson of T. V. Sundaram Iyengar, the founder of the TVS Group, one of South India's oldest and most respected business houses. After taking over the leadership of the family's motor division, Srinivasan transformed TVS Motor from a small domestic company into a major global player.
He is a renowned advocate for quality management and was a pioneer in introducing the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Japanese manufacturing processes to the Indian automotive industry. His relentless focus on quality led TVS Motor to become the first two-wheeler company in the world to win the prestigious Deming Prize. After decades at the helm, he has handed over the chairmanship of the company to his son, Sudarshan Venu, but remains a guiding force and a respected elder statesman of Indian industry.
