V inod Rai Gupta is an Indian billionaire and the matriarch of the family that owns and runs Havells India, a major manufacturer of electrical equipment and consumer durables. She is the widow of the company's late founder, Qimat Rai Gupta, a self-made entrepreneur who acquired the Havells brand in 1971 and built it into a dominant player in the Indian market for products like cables, wires, switches, fans, and lighting.

After her husband's death in 2014, his fortune passed to his wife, Vinod, and their son, Anil Rai Gupta. While her son now serves as the chairman and managing director of the publicly traded company, leading its day-to-day operations, Vinod Rai Gupta holds the majority of the family's substantial stake, making her one of the richest women in India.
