X ia Zuoquan is a Chinese billionaire who made his fortune as a pivotal early investor in the electric vehicle and battery giant, BYD Company. He was one of the three co-founders of the company in 1995, alongside the company's chairman, Wang Chuanfu, and Wang's cousin, Lu Xiangyang. While Wang Chuanfu was the technical visionary and leader, Xia was a key early backer who helped to get the company off the ground.
