A lexander Svetakov is a Russian investor and the founder of the Absolut Group, a diversified investment company. He began his entrepreneurial career in the early 1990s, importing electronics into Russia. This initial success provided the foundation for him to move into more substantial ventures, co-founding Absolut Bank in 1993.

Svetakov's major financial breakthrough came in 2007, at the peak of the market before the global financial crisis, when he sold Absolut Bank to the Belgian banking group KBC for nearly $1 billion.
