C haroen Sirivadhanabhakdi is a Thai self-made billionaire and the founder and chairman of TCC Group, one of Thailand's largest and most diversified conglomerates. The son of a poor street vendor, Charoen started his business career by supplying state-run distilleries before securing his own licenses. He built a near-monopoly in the Thai beverage market, particularly in beer and spirits.

His flagship company is Thai Beverage, the producer of the popular Chang beer and a variety of local spirits, which is the cornerstone of his fortune.
