S ybill Storz is a German billionaire and the former head of Karl Storz SE & Co. KG, a global leader in the manufacturing of endoscopes and other medical instruments. The company was founded by her father, Karl Storz, in 1945 in Tuttlingen, Germany, a region known as the world center for medical technology. Her father was a pioneer in the field of endoscopy, developing instruments that allowed for minimally invasive surgery.

Under her decades of leadership, she transformed the company from a successful mid-sized German business into a massive and innovative global powerhouse. She drove the company's international expansion and its push into new medical specialties. Now in her 80s, she has passed on the leadership of the privately held company to her son, Karl-Christian Storz, representing the third generation of family management.
