D aniel Dines is a Romanian self-made billionaire and the co-founder and CEO of UiPath, a global leader in robotic process automation (RPA) software. A programmer by training, Dines began his career at Microsoft in Seattle before returning to his native Romania to start his own company. He founded UiPath in Bucharest in 2005 with a vision to build software 'robots' that could automate repetitive and mundane office tasks.

For its first decade, the company was a small, bootstrapped operation. However, as the field of RPA gained traction, UiPath experienced explosive growth, attracting massive funding from top-tier venture capitalists and expanding its operations globally, with a co-headquarters in New York.
