D ustin Moskovitz is an American technology entrepreneur who co-founded Facebook with his Harvard roommate, Mark Zuckerberg. As the company's first chief technology officer, Moskovitz was a key technical architect in the early days of the social network, helping to build the platform that would grow to connect billions of people around the world. He left Facebook in 2008 to pursue his own venture.
After leaving Facebook, he co-founded Asana, a work management software company that helps teams organize, track, and manage their work. Asana has become a major player in the productivity software market, and its successful direct listing on the stock market has added significantly to his fortune. While the vast majority of his wealth still comes from his large, early stake in Facebook (now Meta Platforms), his success with Asana demonstrates his continued influence as a tech founder. He and his wife, Cari Tuna, are also the founders of the philanthropic foundation Good Ventures and are prominent proponents of the effective altruism movement.
