G érard Wertheimer, along with his brother Alain, is the co-owner of the iconic French luxury house, Chanel. The brothers represent the third generation of their family's partnership with the brand's founder, Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. Their grandfather, Pierre Wertheimer, was an early business partner and financial backer of Coco Chanel, particularly for her fragrance line, including the legendary Chanel No. 5. This partnership eventually led to the family gaining full ownership of the House of Chanel.

While his brother Alain serves as the chairman of the company, Gérard is based in Geneva and leads the company's watch division. The brothers are famously private and have managed the brand with a long-term vision, fiercely protecting its exclusivity and heritage.
