S hari Arison is an American-born Israeli businesswoman, philanthropist, and one of Israel's wealthiest individuals. She is the owner of Arison Investments and the Shari Arison Foundation. Her wealth was inherited from her late father, Ted Arison, the visionary founder of Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise ship operator. While her brother Micky Arison runs Carnival, Shari has focused on managing her inherited assets and building her own business and philanthropic legacy in Israel.
Through Arison Investments, she has held controlling stakes in some of Israel's most significant companies, including Bank Hapoalim, the country's largest bank, and Shikun & Binui, a major infrastructure and real estate company. She has since sold her stakes in both. Arison is a prominent advocate for corporate social responsibility and has championed a values-based business model. Her philanthropic arm, The Shari Arison Foundation, has invested heavily in projects related to health, education, and the environment. She is also the initiator of 'Good Deeds Day,' a global movement that encourages people to volunteer and do good for others.
