S hlomo Kramer is one of Israel's most successful and influential serial entrepreneurs and investors in the cybersecurity industry, often referred to as one of the 'founding fathers' of the Israeli tech scene. His journey began after serving in an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces. In 1993, he co-founded Check Point Software Technologies with Gil Shwed and Marius Nacht. Check Point pioneered the commercial firewall and grew into a global cybersecurity giant, marking Kramer's first major success.
After leaving Check Point, Kramer continued his entrepreneurial streak. He co-founded Imperva, a leading provider of data and application security solutions, which he led to a successful IPO. Not content to rest, he later co-founded Cato Networks, a pioneer in the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market, which converges networking and security into a single cloud service. In addition to his own ventures, Kramer has been a prolific and highly successful angel and venture capital investor, backing numerous Israeli security startups, including Trusteer (sold to IBM) and Palo Alto Networks (where he was an early investor). His Midas touch has been instrumental in shaping the 'Silicon Wadi' and the global cybersecurity landscape.
