He is the founder of the Mayapada Group, a diversified conglomerate with major interests in banking, healthcare, and real estate. Born into a humble family in Surabaya, he started his business career in the textile and garment industry. He later founded Bank Mayapada, which has grown to become a significant privately owned bank in Indonesia and is the cornerstone of his family's fortune.
