T amara Gustavson is an American heiress and the largest individual shareholder of Public Storage, the largest self-storage company in the United States. She is the daughter of the company's late founder, B. Wayne Hughes, a self-made billionaire who co-founded Public Storage in the 1970s and is credited with pioneering the modern self-storage industry.
