T homas Secunda is an American billionaire and one of the four co-founders of the financial information and media giant, Bloomberg L.P. A mathematician and computer scientist by training, he was working as a programmer at the investment bank Salomon Brothers when his boss, Michael Bloomberg, was fired in 1981. Secunda, along with Duncan MacMillan and Charles Zegar, left Salomon to join Bloomberg in his new venture.

As one of the original founding partners, Secunda was the key technical architect behind the company's iconic product, the Bloomberg Terminal.
