V incent Kennedy McMahon is an American professional wrestling promoter and media proprietor who is responsible for transforming the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE) from a regional promotion into a global entertainment behemoth. A third-generation promoter, he purchased the company from his father in 1982. He then systematically broke the long-standing territorial system of wrestling by taking his company national and then international, creating the modern 'sports entertainment' genre. He was the architect of blockbuster annual events like WrestleMania and built a stable of global superstars, including Hulk Hogan, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

McMahon has been both the creative visionary and the on-screen villainous "Mr. McMahon" character for decades, guiding the company through its most successful periods. In 2023, he sold a majority stake in WWE to the entertainment and sports giant Endeavor, which merged it with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to form TKO Group Holdings.
