Alakh Pandey, popularly known as 'Physics Wallah', is an Indian entrepreneur and educator born on October 2, 1991, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. His early life was marked by significant financial hardship; his family had to sell their home to make ends meet.

To support his family, Pandey began tutoring younger students as early as the 9th grade. He enrolled in Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering but dropped out in his third year to follow his passion for teaching.
