B oris Nuraliev is a Russian software entrepreneur and the founder of 1C Company, a leader in the Russian market for business and accounting software. With a background in computer science, Nuraliev founded 1C in 1991, at the dawn of Russia's market economy. He identified a critical need for localized software that could help nascent Russian businesses manage their finances and operations according to the country's rapidly changing laws.

His company's flagship product, 1C:Enterprise, became the ubiquitous accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for small and medium-sized businesses across Russia and other post-Soviet countries.
